Trees break the sidewalk, and the sidewalk skins my knees

A couple more images from the book project. These images are about saying hello to a friend, and saying you're welcome when you get a present. And about dancing dogs.

Let's go to a birthday party, shall we?

Here's some more images that I've worked on this semester, all from the children's book.

These two pages are about saying "excuse me" and "bless you" when someone burps or sneezes.

You're always worth the wait, I guess

Finals are upon me, sleep deprived nights are ahead. I have a lot of work to put up, but I'll save that for when I have more time. I got a new computer (!!!) last weekend, so I'm in the process of transferring over everything to it.

Stephanie Leung
and I collaborated on some small works for the M|I|C/A Art Market. We both love those cutouts! This picture was taken with my phone, so it doesn't really do our collaborative efforts justice. They were fun to make!

I don't like milk

Here's the second page of my thesis and children's book I'm working on. This page is about saying please.

The format of the book has changed a lot, which is okay with me. Now the images are on a separate page from the text, which is better because I was a little worried about how I was going to make the text fit on the actual images. The book will need to be finished in about a month and a half, and I have a lot of work ahead of me. I'll have to lock myself in a room with my computer come Christmas break.

The more I think about graduation, the more freaked out I get. I almost wish I had an extra year. Almost.

The key to staying on top of things is...

... to treat everything like it's your first project.

Here is something that I am working on for my character development class. I've started to use the wacom tablet to scan in papers and then "cut them out" per say, on the computer.

Bad quality image and the characters need some work, but I am pleased that I have perfected my technique a little more.

I bought a Scary Girl toy a few weeks ago. I have the box sitting next to my computer. Nathan Jurevicius is a talented man!

working smarter, not harder

I am always looking to work smarter not harder, but there is something that I love about cutting out every.little.shape. that I don't get from working digitally. It's cathartic. I'm trying to figure out how I can MARRY (art school term) the two.

i need a wacom tablet.
